Our procurement specialists and vast procurement networks enable us to source for the flowers you want for your wedding, from around the world. Moreover, our relationships with farms and supply vendors allow us to purchase at attractive rates, resulting in cost savings passed down to our couples. You will also have access to an experienced team of top-notch flower designers and decorators with decades of experience and a variety of skillsets to create the look you want for your wedding, whether it be classic, contemporary, or grand – you name it! Our expertise ranges further then just florals we are a full-service design company as well. Offering custom tables, furniture, chuppahs, lounge furniture, bars and more. We can transform any room to meet your floral and décor vision, transforming any space into your desired vison is our main goal. Couples will meet with the owners directly as their personal wedding consultant, who will work closely with you every step of the way to bring your wedding floral vision to life.
2.) Do you have a minimum spend requirement for wedding flowers?
No, there is no set minimum, The Avenue J Florist will accommodate every couple. Everyone is entitled to beautiful flowers at their wedding and we relish every opportunity to make that happen. Reach out to us at avenuejflorist@optonline.net and we will work with you regardless of your budget.
3.) How early before my wedding should I be thinking about wedding flowers?
A good time to schedule a consultation or start the conversation would be 6-9 months prior to the wedding. This will give the couple time to learn about their floral options and formalize the style and look they are going for.
For popular dates however, we strongly encourage couples to reach out as soon as they can because of our availability.
4.) Is there a consultation fee?
No, the consultation is complimentary and non-obligatory. We always encourage couples to meet with us so they can learn more about us and what we can achieve for them.

5.) How will your wedding consultant work with me to achieve my vision for wedding florals?
We invite every couple to schedule a complimentary, non-obligatory consultation with our wedding consultant. During this consultation, we learn more about you and your wedding, and give you the opportunity to discuss about what we can do for you as well. After this consultation, we will email you an estimated quote based on your vison for your wedding flowers and what we hope to achieve for you. Should you decide to book us as your wedding florist, we will create a mock-up of your desired floral centerpiece and a second meeting will be scheduled to review this centerpiece, at which time a deposit is requested if you choose to work with us. During the second meeting, we will work with you to confirm details, make adjustments to your order (if any) and gather feedback on the mock-up of the centerpiece. Depending on your needs, we will be ready on your wedding day to bring your floral vision to life with!
*This deposit will be used to offset your final spend
6.) Must all consultations be done in-person?
For couples who live in The New York Are we strongly encourage you to meet with us in person (we’re fun to spend time with!). For destination couples, we are more than happy to schedule virtual consultations* with you – just reach out!

7.) How should I prepare for the consultation so that the wedding consultant can help me better?
We encourage couples to think about the following before you come to the consultation, whether or not you have a vision in mind (we can work with you to create a floral concept!). These pieces of information will help us advise you better on the cost, overall look and feasibility.
Think about: budget for flowers, wedding colors, preferred flowers, seating (long or round tables) and potential guest size (no. of tables).
We also strongly encourage couples to start a mood board with potential visionary ideas, to help guide our designers to make sure they reach every aspect of your vision.
8.) What kind of floral services do you provide?
We are a full-service wedding florist, so we work with you from conceptualization to setting up the flowers at your venue on your wedding day. We also offer a full line of furniture, bars, coffee table, custom seating tables, table cloths and anything else you can envision for your wedding. Our team will work with you on a personal level to make sure you are comfortable with every aspect of your wedding leading up to your big day.
9.) What kind of wedding floral styles does Avenue J Florist do?
With our large and experienced design team, the sky is the limit! We are versatile and will work with our couples to achieve any floral style they would like on their big day.
10.) Does Avenue J Florist provide floral services for vow renewal, engagement party etc.?
Yes, we are full-service retail and design studio. We can work with you on any occasion or event you may have coming up or are pre-planning. Offering special promotional advantages to newly engaged couples who are planning to have multi events leading up to their wedding day. Our goal is to be here for you during all the life’s most precious moments.
11.) We are a DIY couple and just looking to buy flowers – can you help?
You are more than welcome to visit our retail showroom located at 1502 Avenue J to see the flowers we carry and place your orders in advance! We have experienced sales representatives who will be very happy to help you. Remember to check out the “Cooler” section for amazing floral selections.
12.) It seems every couple has a place at Avenue J Florist! Is there something you don’t do? Do you do weddings on Sunday?
No, The Avenue J Florist is open 7 days a week excluding major holidays and will be more than happy to service you any day of the week. Yes, we do Sunday events along with every other day of the week.
