My aunt passed away and regretfully, we didn't have any plans in place. The funeral home showed us a few arrangements but the casket sprays alone started at $300. The service itself was creeping up in cost, so we took a chance and decided to get the flowers on our own. When I called to ask questions about the different sizes available, Barbara took the time to spell everything out for me. She confirmed that they could deliver them in time and let me ask a million questions. I called back to confirm the next day that they could deliver them on time (this was a last minute order) and I was reassured that they would arrive. Avenue J Florist was empathetic and understanding. I knew then that I made the right choice. The casket spray was delivered in the AM for an afternoon service and it was stunning. I went with the premium, which was the perfect size for the casket but a lot to carry home (if you're doing a cremation instead of burial). The white/cream and green colors were subtle and matched well with the white casket. It brought a sense of peace and tranquility to the room. Note that my sister sent flowers from a different florist through 1-800 flowers and they never showed up. I wish I'd known - I would have definitely recommended Avenue J Florist over anyone else. Businesses like this are why I try to shop local. They care and they know what they're doing. Thank you so much.
